a chance meeting: Colorado Springs Family Photography

Have I ever told you that I love my job at Compassion?  Oh, well, I do.  And I love Compassion.  I love being a part of something bigger than me.  Anyway, one of the things I occasionally do at Compassion is lead building tours.  I sometimes dread breaking up my work day to go hang out with strangers for an hour, but my good friend who trained me on tours told me this, “Every tour is an opportunity and you don’t know what God has in store.”  That’s probably how we should look at life, but that is another post for another time.

Anyway, a while back I went downstairs for my scheduled tour and three people about my age were waiting for the tour to start.  I was intimidated, because the worst person to give a tour to is someone your own age.  They could judge you. You know?  I’m a dork.  Moving on… I do the tour and the people are so personable, friendly and interested and asking questions and I realize that I really am lame for being intimidated.  At the close of our time together I ask them a little bit about why they are there and I find out that the couple has just moved to Colorado for the Air Force (her).  And He is a graphic designer.  I happen to need a graphic designer.  There you go- the blog comes full circle- every tour is an opportunity.  You can admire my new logo and thank him.  And in a little while you can admire my other new logo because I am indecisive and must like paying designers.  So enough of the words….this couple is so sweet and this shoot was an incredible opportunity to enjoy the early morning light.

Happy Holidays Tripputi’s and enjoy Colorado!

P.S. If you are looking for a graphic designer- Chris is really good.  And really patient:)
