Oh, how I love homemade bread! We decided a while back on some “let’s get another kitchen appliance and add some clutter”/ health-kick to start milling our own flour and baking our own bread. It’s been a lot of trial and error, but I think after all this time, we* have it down. *Please note “we” is used here to mean Andy*
Homemade bread with fresh milled flour is very good for you. I don’t know a lot about the details, but I know that the flour and bread you buy in the store is garbage and your body can’t actually digest it. So when you make your own bread you are getting actual nutrients. Plus you can add fun stuff to it like raisins, flax, honey, oats and the list goes on. In addition, you have the ability to make all your friends salivate when you post on your Facebook that your husband made you homemade bread.
Anyway, that is just what we did this week- he made homemade bread and I made everyone jealous by posting it on my facebook.

This recipe is topped with warm honey when it comes out of the oven!

It's a bit sticky, but oh-my-goodness- delicious!

I love how it looks like real food![]()

Did you think we would eat it without butter?
Another great thing about making bread is giving fresh bread to people as gifts. This may sound silly, but we love to give people a loaf of homemade bread and they love receiving it. I mean, it’s not like that is what I will get you for your birthday or anything.
Anyway, just another thing I love about this life- homemade bread!
